Update · Versions 1.16.0 and 1.17.0

World Chat, Loadouts and the Journey

Two updates in one week. Version 1.16.0 opened World Chat, added Loadouts and new Contracts, and made Combat Power simpler. Version 1.17.0 is for new smiths: a Journey that walks you through your first steps, faster early forge upgrades and fairer boss fights.

World Chat

Forge Chat now has a second room next to your Clan Chat: World Chat, where every forger can talk, trade tips and recruit for their clan. Clan Chat and World Chat are for players aged 13 and over. Before you write, the game checks your age, through your app store where it can and otherwise with a short question, and you accept the Community Rules. Report and block are one tap away, the chat filter refuses links and contact details, and World Chat messages disappear after 24 hours.

Loadouts

Save a build, with its gear, souls and spells, and switch to it in one tap: one for farming, one for bosses and dungeons. Items in a loadout can still be sold or Auto Forged. Since 1.17.0, Loadouts unlock at Forge Level 10.

New Contracts

Contracts start over on Monday 2 November: three daily missions every day, and a weekly Royal Contract with up to four chests, the last one the Royal Chest. Every dungeon key you spend counts.

Combat Power counts Health and Damage

Combat Power, the number on your hero and in the Power Ranking, now counts Health and Damage only. Your number and your place in the ranking changed with it, but no stat was lost: every stat still works the same in fights, and the upgrade advice in the game follows the new number.

A Journey for new smiths

Version 1.17.0 adds the Journey: seventeen short missions above the anvil, from forging your first item to summoning your first soul, each with a reward, and five gems for finishing it. Early forge upgrades are faster, and boss fights are fairer.

Hero cards show the abilities and souls a hero has equipped, your own and other players'.
Stat bars show how close each stat is to its roll maximum and its cap.
Auto Forge can filter by equipment slot.
A Soul Harvest in the Ember Crypt never pays less than Claim Last.
Bosses from 3-10 to 4-10 are a bit easier.
New ability effects, including Frost Nova.
