Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Idle Forge. By downloading, installing or playing Idle Forge, you agree to these terms.
1. About Idle Forge
Idle Forge is a fantasy mobile idle RPG published under the name Pieters Studios by Solusiv, the sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) of Joey Pieters, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 67882552, Haselackers 49, 7824 LL Emmen, the Netherlands, VAT ID NL002321244B58, email support@pietersstudios.com. In these terms, "Pieters Studios", "we" and "us" mean Solusiv. The game includes local progress, cloud save features, optional platform account linking, social and clan features and optional in-app purchases.
Who can play
Idle Forge is intended for players aged 13 and over, and chat, clans, friends and choosing your own player name are only for players aged 13 and over. If we learn that a player is under 13, their account is not closed: it continues in a protected mode without those features, keeping its progress and purchases, until they turn 13 (see our Privacy Policy). If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you make a purchase.
Before you use chat, clans, friends or a player name of your own, the game asks for your birth month and year, or uses the age information your app store provides. Please answer truthfully. Where the law requires it, your app store may ask a parent or guardian to approve chat for a player under 18; see our Privacy Policy.
Parents and guardians can control purchases with the app store's own settings, such as Ask to Buy on Apple devices and purchase approvals in Google Play.
2. Accounts and cloud saves
Idle Forge may use Apple Game Center, Google Play Games or game-specific cloud save services to help link, back up and restore your progress. You are responsible for keeping access to the Apple or Google account you use with the game.
Cloud save features are provided to improve continuity across installs or devices, but we cannot guarantee that every local device state can always be recovered after deletion, corruption, account loss or unsupported modifications.
3. In-app purchases
Idle Forge offers optional in-app purchases for digital game content, such as virtual currency, keys, resource bundles and permanent unlocks.
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform. Pieters Studios does not receive or store your payment card details.
Prices, taxes, payment methods and purchase confirmations are handled by the relevant app store and may vary by country, currency, storefront or device settings.
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that is delivered to you straight away, such as gems or other items added to your game, that right ends once delivery starts with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right to withdraw; the app store asks for these when you buy. Your other legal rights as a consumer, for example when something you paid for is not delivered or does not work as described, are not affected.
4. Virtual items and unlocks
Virtual items, currency, keys, rewards and unlocks are licensed for use inside Idle Forge only. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred or sold outside the game.
Consumable purchases are used when they are added to your game progress. Non-consumable purchases, such as permanent unlocks, are intended to remain available to the linked account where supported by the app store and cloud save systems.
5. Purchase delivery and restore
Idle Forge validates purchases with the relevant platform before granting rewards. If a purchase is paid for but not delivered immediately, restart the game, use any available restore or retry option, and contact support if the issue continues.
On platforms that support purchase restoration, restorable non-consumable purchases can be restored through the game or the app store purchase systems.
6. Refunds
Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play according to their own policies. Pieters Studios can help investigate delivery issues, but app store purchases and refunds are controlled by the relevant store provider. If something you bought is not delivered or does not work as described, contact us: we will deliver it, fix it or replace it with equivalent content, and this does not limit any legal right you have against us or the store.
Refunded, reversed, revoked or invalid purchases may result in the related virtual items, currency, unlocks or entitlements being removed or adjusted where technically possible.
7. Fair play
You may not cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate save data, interfere with cloud save systems, abuse purchase flows, reverse engineer protected services or use automation that harms the game, services or other players.
We may limit, suspend, correct or remove access to affected progress, purchases or services when needed to protect the game, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations or maintain service integrity.
We act in proportion: we choose the lightest measure that deals with the problem, and we close an account only for serious or repeated cheating or fraud, or when the law requires it. When we restrict or close your account, we tell you what we did and why, and how to ask a person to review it. If we close your account without a good reason, we restore it or refund the value of unused paid content. You can stop playing at any time and delete your account in the game.
8. Chat, clans and what you write
Idle Forge lets players write text that other players read: World Chat, Clan Chat, Clan Rules, clan names and player names. When you use these features, the Community Rules apply to you. They are part of these terms. The game asks you to agree to them before you can write in World Chat, Clan Chat or Clan Rules.
You are responsible for what you write. Do not write anything that breaks the Community Rules or the law, or that you do not have the right to share. Do not share personal details or contact details, yours or anyone else's.
You keep any rights you have in what you write. You give Pieters Studios a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, show and remove that content inside Idle Forge, for as long as it is kept under our Privacy Policy, so that we can run World Chat and the clan features, show your messages to the players who can see them, and review and moderate them.
We may refuse, hide or remove content, replace a name, and limit, suspend or end your use of World Chat, Clan Chat and Clan Rules, when we reasonably believe you broke the Community Rules, these terms or the law. Some of this happens automatically: our filter refuses or hides text, a World Chat message that two players report is hidden until a moderator looks at it, a message reported for a threat, self-harm or child safety by a player who takes part in that chat is hidden at once, and three hidden messages within 7 days lead to an automatic chat mute of 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Other decisions are taken by our moderators, who can hide content, warn, mute, suspend you from chat for a number of days or ban you from chat permanently. Clan Leads and Captains, who are players, can also remove messages and mute members in their own clan. We are not obliged to check everything players write before it appears, but the game filters it automatically and we review content that is reported.
When we restrict you, we tell you in the game what we did, why, whether it was automatic, and how to ask for a review. We act carefully, objectively and in proportion, taking the rights of everyone involved into account.
If you think a moderation decision was wrong, you can ask us to look at it again, free of charge: see How to appeal in the Community Rules, or email support@pietersstudios.com. You can also go to court. How we handle notices of illegal content, our contact points and the other information the EU Digital Services Act asks for are on our Digital Services Act page.
9. Updates and balancing
Idle Forge is actively developed. We may change features, rewards, balance, item values, progression, availability and supported services for a valid reason: for example to add or improve content, keep the game fair and balanced, fix bugs or security problems, keep it working with new devices and store rules, or follow the law. Changes never cost you anything extra.
If a change makes the game or something you paid for clearly worse to use, we tell you in the game before it takes effect. You can then stop using the game within 30 days of the change at no cost and ask us to delete your account. If we remove a permanent unlock you paid for, we replace it with an equivalent unlock or give you its value in gems.
10. Availability
We aim to keep Idle Forge and its online services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Cloud save, purchase validation, account linking and support services may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, platform issues or technical problems.
11. Account deletion
You can delete your Idle Forge account and the data that belongs to it, in the game or by email. A record of each purchase without a link to your account is kept for seven years for our tax administration, together with a coded reference to the deleted account for refunds and disputes, and moderation records for up to 180 days. These records are not used for gameplay.
For details, visit the Idle Forge account deletion page.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information Idle Forge collects and how it is used, including cloud saves, platform account linking, analytics, diagnostics and purchase validation.
13. Support
If you need help with Idle Forge, purchases, cloud saves or these terms, contact us through the support page or email support@pietersstudios.com.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as new features, changes in the law or store rules, or to prevent abuse. We tell you about important changes in the game before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop playing and delete your account. The latest version will always be available at:
https://idleforgegame.com/terms.html
15. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts there. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited by contract.
