The Weekly Ladder, the Power Ranking and a rebuilt Arcane Forge
Idle Forge 1.8.0 shows who is forging beside you: a weekly ladder to climb, a feed of what other players are doing and a ranking of the strongest heroes. The Arcane Forge is rebuilt around its upgrades, and selling a real upgrade now asks first.
The 1.8.0 release build is dated 18 September 2026.
The Weekly Ladder
Contracts now earn points on a weekly ladder. You climb your bracket through the week and claim your reward on Sunday. The ladder opens together with Contracts at Forge Level 7; until then its button is visible, locked, and says when it opens.
An activity feed and a Power Ranking
The activity feed shows what other players have been doing, and the Power Ranking lists up to the top 100 heroes by Combat Power, the same number your own top bar shows. Your own rank sits above the list whether or not you are on it.
Every Arcane Forge upgrade is its own button
Each of an ability's three upgrades now carries its own price, its own research time and what a level buys, and starts when you tap it. One research runs at a time; the running one shows a progress bar, the time left and the gem skip.
Selling a real upgrade asks first
A craft that beats the item your hero is wearing by 15% or more now asks "Sell Upgrade?" before it is sold. On both compare screens the worn item carries your own portrait and the craft is marked "New", so you can see which of the two you are wearing.
Blood Nova and Whirlwind
Both abilities now have their own effects and sounds.
Daily Dungeons show your best stage
Each dungeon card shows your best stage and what that stage pays, under the key count, so you no longer have to open every dungeon to decide where to spend a key.
